Questions, answered.

Frequently asked questions about the programme, the platform, deployment, security, and how engagements work.

    01

    What is ASTRA Academy?

ASTRA Academy is an enterprise AI and data capability programme paired with a learning intelligence platform. We co-design a programme around your business, deliver it in evidence-led waves, and make capability visible across every function. ASTRA Academy is part of ASTRA — a Hong Kong AI and data company, a research spin-off of AIFT, and the only InnoHK-recognised FinTech laboratory.

    02

How is ASTRA Academy different from a traditional LMS?

A traditional LMS hosts content; ASTRA Academy turns delivery into evidence. It captures attendance, confidence movement, blockers and applied evidence across each wave, and turns it into a capability picture you can act on — with guardrails that mean it never ranks or scores individuals. It is a learning intelligence platform paired with a delivered programme, not a content library.

    03

    Who is ASTRA Academy for?

ASTRA Academy is built for enterprises that want capability that compounds, not training that's spent and gone. Executives get one clear view of organisational capability and the evidence to govern AI responsibly; middle management gets the workflows and analytics to turn strategy into adoption; teams get practical AI and data skills for the work they actually do.

    04

Is the programme co-designed, or off-the-shelf?

Always co-designed. ASTRA doesn't deliver to spec. We work as a joint design team with your people — your priorities, sponsors and real workflows shape every wave, and the evidence from each wave scopes the next. Modules, sequencing, pacing and formats are all configurable; nothing is locked at the start of the year.

    05

How does the wave engine work?

The year runs in sequential waves, each made up of three stages: Design, Prepare and Deliver. While one wave is delivering, the next is already being designed — scoped from the evidence the last produced. Each wave ends with a sponsor decision gate, so investment follows learning instead of being committed up front.

    06

    What delivery formats are available?

Six formats, chosen to match the outcome a wave needs to produce: bite-sized sessions for awareness, clinics for applying a technique to your real work, seminars for shared language on a new topic, roundtables for executive peer dialogue, workshops for hands-on skill, and game days for reinforcement at scale.

    07

What does 'university-backed' mean for the executive route?

Senior leaders take a premium executive route delivered through a partnership with an internationally-ranked university business school. Sessions are led by distinguished faculty with sector-relevant experience, alongside invitation-only roundtables with honoured industry guests. The route is configurable — you choose the modules, sequencing and pacing.

    08

Does the platform rank or score individuals?

No — and it cannot, by design. The intelligence layer produces summaries, themes and executive-narrative drafts. It does not score, rank or predict on individuals. This is enforced in code, not policy, and a human reviews every insight before it informs a decision.

    09

Can we run the platform on our own infrastructure?

Yes. ASTRA Academy is available as a hosted Cloud edition or as ASTRA Academy Sovereign — the same platform, run entirely inside your own environment. Sovereign is built for regulated, sovereignty-bound and IP-sensitive organisations where data never leaves your boundary.

    10

    How is our data handled?

ASTRA Academy is white-labelled, tenant-isolated by design, with permissioned and audited access throughout. Posture is aligned to Hong Kong PDPO and GDPR. With the Sovereign edition, your data and the platform itself stay inside your own environment.

    11

    How do you measure success?

Success is reported through the Literacy Insight and Adaptive Pathway Review at each sponsor gate. It covers confidence movement, applied evidence, recurring blockers, and the next-wave recommendation — sponsor-and-cohort level, never individual scoring. You end the year with a Year-2 plan in your hands, not a transcript.

How do we start a conversation?
